SaasRise Enterprise Mastermind Call Recap July 28, 2026

This is what we discussed today in the Enterprise SaaS CEO and Founder Mastermind

🔍 Competitor Comparison Pages (SEO/AEO)

Challenges: Scaling the creation of "vs." and "alternatives to" competitor pages efficiently, rather than writing each one manually.

Advice: Generate the pages programmatically using AI agents, working from a CSV of competitors and creating all permutations — A vs B, alternatives to X, reviews. Interlink the pages from your site footer so they're crawlable. Submit the sitemap XML to both Google and Bing Search Console to speed up indexing.

⚖️ LOI Exclusivity Period – Business Decisions

Challenges: Uncertainty about which decisions are safe to make — hiring, a website rebuild — while operating under a signed LOI during an acquisition process.

Advice: Continue normal operations. "Material changes" refers to adverse ones: taking on new debt, selling equity, or signing multi-year vendor contracts. Hiring a salesperson or rebuilding your website does not qualify. Proactively communicate planned hires or significant spend to the buyer via email or a quick call to stay aligned.

👥 Contractors vs. W-2 Employees

Challenges: Finding the right ratio of 1099 contractors to full-time W-2 employees as the team scales.

Advice: Base the decision on whether the work is ongoing — if a role has a year's worth of continuous work, a full-time employee is typically less expensive. Keep FTE payroll at roughly 50% of ARR as a healthy benchmark and use contractors for the rest. International hires often work well as contract employees with reimbursed benefits.

🧘 CEO Burnout & Sustainability

Challenges: Feeling exhausted and burned out despite the company having its best year in five years.

Advice: Hire a strong #2 or consider transitioning into a CSO role. Delegate ruthlessly — if someone can do 80% of a task, that's 100% of a win for you. Practical tactics include hiring a strong executive assistant, working with a life coach or therapist, hot/cold plunge cycles (3–4 minutes cold, 15 minutes sauna, repeated 2–3 times), and weekly massages.

Best Advice

The strongest takeaway was to stop writing competitor comparison pages one at a time — feed a CSV of competitors to Claude, generate every permutation programmatically, interlink them from the footer, and submit the sitemap to Google and Bing for faster indexing. For anyone under an LOI, remember that "material change" means adverse change: hiring a salesperson or rebuilding a site doesn't trigger it, while new debt, equity sales, or multi-year vendor commitments do — and proactive communication with the buyer keeps everyone aligned. On team structure, let the work decide: continuous, year-round work is cheaper as a W-2 hire, with FTE payroll held near 50% of ARR and contractors covering the rest. And on burnout, the antidote is buying back your time — delegate anything someone else can do at 80%, hire an executive assistant, and protect your physical energy with deliberate recovery.
